GPS

As a leader in our industry, Hos Bros. has been using Global Positioning System (GPS) for the layout and grading of our projects since 2006. This advanced technology not only ensures a quality finished product, it also accelerates production rates that translate to an overall cost savings for our clients. These processes also significantly increase the flow of information to allow us to track and monitor projects daily, and help keep our projects on time and on schedule.

Conveyor at Worksite

Over the past decade, the heavy construction industry has seen a major influx of technology innovation. As a leader in the industry, Hos has been on the front line by implementing technology both in the office and the filed. This advanced approach and technology not only ensures a quality finished product, but it also accelerates production rates that translate to an overall cost savings for our clients. Our management team is able to quantify the project in detail, plan the entire operation, and prepare for a successful execution. These processes also significantly increase the flow of information to allow us to track and monitor projects daily, and help keep our projects on time and on schedule.

As of 2017, the entire fleet of trucks has been equipped with a vehicle tracking device. This technology provides real-time information to increase safety, efficiency and overall production of our fleet of 60 DOT regulated units.

Stormwater Treatment Systems

Hos Bros. Construction is dedicated to providing the highest standards in the treatment and filtration of construction stormwater prior to discharge into waters of the state. With over 50 years of experience in the erosion control processes, Hos Bros. has continued to evolve with the industry, regulation, technology and biochemistry.

Our proven environmentally low impact state of the art contained Chitosan Enhanced Sand Filtration systems (CESF) are capable of applying the latest enhanced treatment applications using one of the safest biodegradable naturally occurring flocculants in the form of Chitosan.

Stormwater Treatment Systems

What is Chitosan?

Chitosan is a substance derived from the shells of crab, and other crustaceans. Given it’s low potential for toxicity and Chitosan’s abundance in nature being 100% biodegradable it does not harm people, pets, wildlife or the environment.

Chitosan is a perfect solution for use in causing fine sediment particles to bind together trapping heavy metals and oils as well. It is an integral part of engineering our on-site water filtration process.

This safe material is even famously used in the brewing of beer, creation of cheese and clarification of fine wine.

DOE Approved Trained Professionals

The Washington State Department of Ecology has recognized Hos Bros. as a permitted and approved provider of our preferred Chitosan Enhanced Filtration System (CESF) and we have several full-time certified technicians knowledgeable in all facets of the mechanics of the system, regulations, and document control and reporting.

Equipment Fleet

A key to our success is an extensive inventory of company-owned heavy equipment and trucks. Our fleet is constantly being updated with the latest technology and is maintained and serviced by our in-house team of certified mechanics.

  • 200 pieces of heavy equipment
  • 70 DOT regulated trucks
  • High-incline 110ft bucket conveyor system
